Our entry was the Tour du Nord map series, developed & designed in partnership with Steer Davies Gleave.

Detail for one of the sub sections of the Tour du Nord SplashMap

We created this map series as part of the legacy for the highly successful Tour de France Yorkshire stages this year.  The maps continue to be highly popular for those riding the route, wanting to take detours and gain a great permanent memento for one of Great Britain’s finest sporting showcases.

So we’d like to thank Clare, Euan and Josh from SDG once again for their efforts.  Looking forward to working with you again guys!

The Tour du Nord maps are broken into the two stages of this years “Grand Depart” in Yorkshire.  Each stage covers two maps at 1:40 000 and each map is divided into two more-or-less linear sections.

Why go to that trouble? Well, despite the length of the Routes measuring 190 and 201km we manage to get the whole of each stage in just two beautiful scarf sized maps.  The practicality of the maps was picked up in the Yorkshire Post recently as they gain momentum for their get Yorkshire cycling campaign.
