Exmoor SplashMaps launched and reviewed by MBUK!

We’re blown-away to have had our new Exmoor SplashMap reviewed this month by MBUK magazine as part of our West Country launch!

We're in use on the MBUK Big Ride this month!

We’re in use on the MBUK Big Ride this month!

MBUK is the largest circulation Mountain Bike magazine in the UK, reaching 41 000 bikers!  It’s a great endorsement for SplashMaps as this was their 25th Anniversary issue, so editorial space was scarce.  Their reviewer, Max Darkins – an author of the more conventional bike guides – “loved using the map” to mark his route and guide him around the Exmoor National Park as part of their celebrations.  He noted the key benefits of the map in its convenience and clarity and describes how our original cartographic style sets it apart from the existing maps.  It’s a great review and really shows how SplashMaps has addressed the needs of the Mountain Bikers!

The same article recognises that Mountain Bikers more often head for the Quantock Hills for their blast, often neglecting the less populated trails of Exmoor further to their West.  At SplashMaps we’d already recognised this and, as part of our West Country launch, we now provide maps covering the Quantocks, East and West Exmoor across three overlapping maps!

Many thanks and Happy Birthday MBUK.  I guess the message from us both is, get out West!
