Last year we sponsored John Blashford-Snell’s sensational talk at the Armchair Adventure Festival. He then headed off with his Costa Rica SplashMap to deliver essential aid to remote communities. Now he’s looking for Costa Rica volunteers 🤗.

Now he’s back!

Do you have the drive to be one of his Costa Rica Volunteers?
In his own words…
‘Dear David
As you know, we have an interesting and worthwhile expedition in Costa Rica 20 November – 10 December 2025. During this we shall be giving community aid to indigenous people in the Osa Peninsula, surveying routes through the rain forest, cataloguing wildlife and rebuilding a footbridge into the Corcovado Park using recycled plastic planks. The planks are produced from plastic waste to save the use of timber. The wildlife is prolific and the climate quite tolerable at that time of year.
I can take 20 people on this and am looking for volunteers. If you could mention this to your database I’d be most grateful.
Anyone interested can finder further details on my website at https://www.johnblashfordsnell.org.uk/expeditions/forthcoming-expedition/ or email me onjbs@ses-explore.org . We’ll be using your SplashMaps!
Very many thanks.
Cheers,
John’
