BikeBiz report on a year of growth at SplashMaps
I loved picking up the fabulous bike trade magazine BikeBiz and find we were a feature! Well positioned within the Outdoor & Fitness section the article highlights our growing network of retailers and then focuses on the custom maps we made for Nightrider and the 3 Peaks Map of the Yorkshire Dales (both available via our web site).
As well as our custom maps we have our fixed area maps of each of our National Parks. Now that we have just received our first order from Northumberland National Park it means that nearly half the National Park Authorities stock SplashMaps in their visitor centres! The Park also recommended we map the stars above as they are the “dark skies” capital of the UK. They join the New Forest, South Downs, Dartmoor, Yorkshire Dales and Snowdonia visitor centres in helping their visitors find their way in any kind of weather.
We’re pleased to have had our 5th order for Lake District maps from Bookends of Cumbria. We regularly get tweets and mails from their customers as it’s often the first time they’ve encountered a map properly designed for all weathers. They clearly do a great job up there… I can’t wait to visit!
